A Blueprint of Future Entrepreneurship Initiatives
Business Need
New leadership at the Foundation sought to develop a new strategic framework to guide Kauffman’s grants and programs in the field of entrepreneurship. Extensive research supported this effort including historical review, interviews with over 100 leading entrepreneurship experts, and analysis of key factors affecting entrepreneurship trends. In addition, the resulting blueprint needed to be effectively communicated to internal staff as well as grantee and partner organizations.
Our Role
Building on years of strategic and program consulting to the Foundation, Dave Lash staffed this strategic planning effort, assisting a key executive in research, strategy formulation, document creation, and presentation preparation.
A contribution of note was analyzing and presenting the dynamics of national job creation, an important objective of the Foundation. Dave studied federal census data and reports, interviewed labor economists, created a series of illustrative charts and graphs, and wrote an accompanying narrative.
